Purpose

Known as the Montana Livestock Marketing Act

The act spans §§ 81–81 (50 sections).

The purpose of this part is to:

(1) simplify, clarify, and modernize the law governing livestock marketing businesses and livestock marketing transactions;

(2) encourage, stimulate, and stabilize the livestock economy of the state; and

(3) promote open, free, and competitive factors in the marketplace in relation to all market conditions involving the sale and purchase of livestock.
