Mont. Code Ann. § 82-2-104

Millsite claims may be located and recorded in the same manner as other claims, except that no discovery or discovery work is required. Where a millsite claim is appurtenant to a mining claim, the certificate of location of such millsite claim shall describe, by appropriate reference, the mining claim to which it is appurtenant.
