Mont. Code Ann. § 82-2-111

All mining locations made and recorded under the laws of this state heretofore in force that in any respect have failed to conform to the requirements of such laws shall, nevertheless, in the absence of the rights of third persons accruing prior to the passage of this part, be valid if the making and recording of such locations conform to the requirements of this part.
