N.C. Gen. Stat. § 50A-420

Duration of abduction prevention order

Known as the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act

The act spans §§ 50A-411 to 50A-422 (12 sections).

An abduction prevention order remains in effect until the earliest of the following:

(1) The time stated in the order.

(2) The emancipation of the child.

(3) The child's attaining 18 years of age.

(4) The time the order is modified, revoked, vacated, or superseded by a court with jurisdiction under G.S. 50A-201 through G.S. 50A-203.
