N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 103:13

In case of a break in a policeman's continuous service by reason of military or federal law enforcement service directly attributable to war, the board shall construe as a period of continuous service the total service of such policeman before the break, his military or federal law enforcement service and his service after the break.
