N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 231:36

The clerk of the superior court shall pay over the sum deposited upon demand to the petitioner and the acceptance of such deposit by the petitioner shall not in any manner affect or prejudice his right of appeal or be admitted in evidence at the trial by jury on the issue of damages.
