N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 232:44

If the sum is not so paid the commissioners shall issue their extent therefor, directed to the sheriff or his deputy, requiring him to levy upon, advertise and sell so much of the land as may be necessary to pay the sum, with interest and the costs of levy and sale.
