Each manufacturer of leather shall have the exclusive right of stamping leather by him manufactured with the initials of his Christian name and the whole of his surname, and the name of the town of his abode; and such stamp shall be deemed a warranty that the leather so stamped is merchantable, made of good materials and well manufactured.
