Examinations

The commissioner or the commissioner's agent shall examine the books and records of a provider subject to this chapter at least once every 5 years, or more frequently as the commissioner deems necessary to assure the accuracy of reports, taking into consideration other independent audits required under this chapter. The provider shall keep records for at least 5 years.
