The clerk shall send to the department of revenue administration, by mail, a copy of every will within 7 days after it is filed, unless notified by the department of revenue administration that such copies will not be required. The clerk shall also furnish such copies of papers, and such information as to the records and files in his or her office, in such form as the department of revenue administration may require. A refusal or neglect of the clerk to send such copies or to furnish such information shall be a breach of his or her official bond.
