N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 94:4-a

In the event any official named in RSA 94:1 and 1-a shall die while in office, his estate shall be paid as a death benefit, an additional 20 days salary beyond the date of death. Any payments made pursuant to this section shall be a charge against the salary adjustment fund.
