§ 2-7F-3 NMSA 1978

Residence

Laws 2021 (2nd S.S.), ch. 6, § 3.

At the time of filing a declaration of candidacy for the office of representative, a candidate shall reside in the district for which the candidate files. Thereafter, if a representative permanently removes the representative's residence from or maintains no residence in the district from which the representative was elected, the representative shall be deemed to have resigned, and a successor shall be selected as provided in Section 4 [ 2-7F-4 NMSA 1978] of the 2021 House Redistricting Act.
