§ 3-1-3 NMSA 1978

Municipalities; name; prohibiting the use of name of another municipality

Known as the Municipal Code

The act spans §§ 3-1-1 to 3-1-6 (6 sections).

Any municipality may be known as the:

A. "city of............";

B. "town of............"; or

C. "village of............"; but no municipality which changes its name or incorporates shall adopt the name of an existing municipality.
