Preference of family allowance

[114:107:1941; 1931 NCL § 9882.114]—(NRS A 1999, 2304)

An allowance made by the court in accordance with the provisions of this chapter must be paid by the personal representative in preference to all other charges, except funeral charges, expenses of last illness and expenses of administration. This may, in the discretion of the court granting it, take effect from the death of the decedent.
