Notice of judgment against structured settlement purchase company; contents of notice

Known as the Structured Settlement Protection Act

The act spans §§ 42–42 (47 sections).

Not later than 10 days after a judgment is obtained against a structured settlement purchase company by a payee, the structured settlement purchase company shall file a notice with the Unit and, if applicable, the surety which issued the surety bond used by the structured settlement purchase company to satisfy the requirements of NRS 42.340. The notice must contain:

1. A copy of the judgment;

2. The name and address of the judgment creditor; and

3. The status of the matter, including, without limitation, whether the judgment will be appealed or has been paid or satisfied.
