NRS 445A.925

Duties of Division and district boards of health

Known as the Nevada Water Pollution Control Law

The act spans §§ 445–445 (200 sections).

1. The Division or the district board of health, if designated pursuant to NRS 445A.853, shall:

(a) Enforce the provisions of NRS 445A.800 to 445A.955, inclusive, and regulations adopted pursuant thereto; and

(b) Make such investigations and inspections as are necessary to ensure compliance with those sections and regulations.

2. Any representative of the Division or the district board of health, if designated pursuant to NRS 445A.853, may enter the property of any public water system at any reasonable time for the purpose of inspecting and investigating the adequacy and sanitary condition of the system and the quality of its water.

3. Except in an emergency, the Division or the district board of health, if designated pursuant to NRS 445A.853, shall notify and permit the supplier of water to be present when an inspection or investigation is being conducted.
