“Open season” defined

“Open season” means that period designated pursuant to the provisions of this title during which it is legal to fish or to hunt game mammals or game birds or to hunt or to trap fur-bearing mammals. The period includes the first day and last day designated. There is no open season on those species of wildlife classified as protected.
