Self-insured employer liable for violation by employer’s agent

A person who is employed by or contracts with a self-insured employer to administer the plan of self-insurance is an agent of the self-insured employer, and if he or she violates any provision of this chapter or chapter 616A, 616C, 616D or 617 of NRS, the self-insured employer is liable for any penalty assessed because of that violation.
