Applicability of chapter: Public and private laboratories; exceptions
Known as the Medical Laboratory Certification and Improvement Law
The act spans §§ 652–652 (47 sections).

The provisions of this chapter apply to all public and private medical laboratories except:
1. A laboratory of any college, university or school which is conducted for the training of its students, actively engaged in research and approved by the Department of Education.
2. Laboratories operated by the Federal Government.
3. Laboratories operated by the State Department of Agriculture.
