Legislative declaration

(Added to NRS by 2001, 1772; A 2005, 965)

The practice of sign language interpreting and the practice of realtime captioning are hereby declared to be learned professions, affecting public health, safety and welfare, and are subject to regulation to protect the general public from the practice of sign language interpreting and the practice of realtime captioning by unqualified persons.
