Required provision concerning coverage of recipients of Medicaid for antipsychotic or anticonvulsant medication that is not on list of preferred prescription drugs upon failure of drug on list to treat condition

Known as the Nevada Health Maintenance Organization Act

The act spans §§ 695C.010 to 695C.350 (127 sections).

A health maintenance organization that provides health care services to recipients of Medicaid under the State Plan for Medicaid pursuant to a contract with the Medicaid Division of the Nevada Health Authority shall automatically cover any typical or atypical antipsychotic medication or anticonvulsant medication that is not on the list of preferred prescription drugs developed pursuant to NRS 422.4025 upon the demonstrated therapeutic failure of one drug on that list to adequately treat the condition of a recipient of Medicaid.
