N.Y. Abandoned Property Law § 204

§ 204. Sale of property recovered. Upon the rendering of final\njudgment in an action authorized by section two hundred one, the\ncommissioner of general services may sell or transfer the property as\nunappropriated land in accordance with the provisions of article three\nof the public lands law.\n
