N.Y. Arts and Cultural Affairs Law § 57.11

§ 57.11. Penalty. A public officer who refuses or neglects to perform\nany duty required of him by this article or to comply with a\nrecommendation of the commissioner of education under the authority of\nthis article, shall for each month of such neglect or refusal, be\npunished by a fine of not less than twenty dollars.\n
