§ 378-d. Preservation of books and records. Every savings and loan\nassociation shall preserve all its records of final entry, including\ncards used under the card system and deposit tickets, for a period of at\nleast six years from the date of making the same or from the date of the\nlast entry thereon; provided, however, that preservation of photographic\nreproductions thereof or records in photographic form shall constitute\ncompliance with the requirements of this section. Notwithstanding the\nforegoing, the superintendent of financial services may prescribe by\nregulation such period of time longer or shorter than six years during\nwhich all records kept by savings and loan associations as fiduciary\nshall be preserved in original form.\n
