Assistant district attorneys; salaries

§ 930. Assistant district attorneys; salaries. The district attorney\nof each county contained within the city of New York is hereby vested\nwith the power to appoint and at pleasure to remove any assistant\ndistrict attorney attached to his office. The number of such assistant\ndistrict attorneys and deputy assistant district attorneys for which\nthere is now provision by appropriation and the salary paid to each of\nthem shall be continued except as hereinafter provided. All deputy\nassistant district attorneys shall become and hereafter be known as\nassistant district attorneys. The number of assistant district attorneys\nand the salary paid to any assistant district attorney may be increased\nor decreased by the mayor of the city of New York with the consent of\nthe district attorney.\n
