§ 600. Certain correctional officers to administer oaths. The\ncommissioner of correction and the deputy and assistant commissioners of\ncorrection may administer oaths and take affidavits in all matters\nrelating to the affairs of the state prisons. The warden, principal\nkeeper, chief clerk, of each prison are authorized and required to take\naffidavits, in all matters of accounts against their respective prisons,\nand also in relation to fees of sheriffs in bringing prisoners to any of\nsaid prisons.\n
