§ 77-c. Temporary visitation. 1. A court of this state which does not\nhave jurisdiction to modify a child custody determination, may, if\nconsistent with subdivision one-c of section two hundred forty of this\nchapter or section one thousand eighty-five of the family court act,\nissue a temporary order enforcing:\n (a) a visitation schedule made by a court of another state; or\n (b) the visitation provisions of a child custody determination of\nanother state that does not provide for a specific visitation schedule.\n 2. If a court of this state makes an order under paragraph (b) of\nsubdivision one of this section, it shall specify in the order a period\nthat it considers adequate to allow the petitioner to obtain an order\nfrom a court having jurisdiction under the criteria specified in title\ntwo of this article. The order remains in effect until an order is\nobtained from the other court or the period expires.\n
