§ 266. Transfer of libraries. By vote similar to that required by\nsection two hundred fifty-five of this chapter any municipality or\ndistrict or tribal government or combination of districts, or by action\nof its trustees at a meeting duly held any association library,\nincorporated or registered by the regents, may, when such vote or action\nhas been duly approved by the regents, transfer, conditionally as\nprovided in section two hundred fifty-seven of this chapter, or\notherwise, the ownership and control of its library with all its\nproperty, real and personal, or any part thereof, to any municipality,\nor district, or institution providing for free library service; and the\ntrustees or body making the transfer shall thereafter be relieved of all\nresponsibility pertaining to property thus transferred.\n
