§ 18-101. Definitions. As used in this article, unless the context\notherwise requires:\n 1. "Commissioner" means the commissioner of environmental\nconservation.\n 2. "Board" means the state board on temporary nuclear waste repository\nsiting established by section 18-105 of this article.\n 3. "Application" means an application for a certificate.\n 4. "Certificate" means a temporary nuclear waste repository siting\ncertificate issued pursuant to the provisions of this article.\n 5. "Person" means any individual, partnership, association,\ncorporation, public benefit corporation, municipality, political\nsubdivision, governmental agency (including any agency of the federal\ngovernment), trust, estate, or other legal entity.\n 6. "Municipality" means a county, city, town or village.\n 7. "Temporary nuclear waste repository" means any facility where spent\nfuel rods from nuclear reactors are received on or after the effective\ndate of this article and are stored pending further or final disposal,\nexcept a facility located in the immediate vicinity of a nuclear power\ngenerating facility or an operating nuclear reactor which is used to\nstore, on an interim or temporary basis, spent nuclear fuel from nuclear\npower generating facilities or operating nuclear reactors located in\nthis state.\n
