§ 21-1309. Jurisdiction of courts.\n Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, the phrase "court of\ncompetent jurisdiction" as used in the compact shall mean, with\nreference to courts of this state, the supreme court, and said court is\nhereby given all necessary and appropriate jurisdiction to hear and\ndetermine any action or proceeding brought before it pursuant to\nappropriate provisions of the compact. As used in section 11.6 of the\ncompact, the phrase "court of competent jurisdiction" shall mean, with\nreference to courts of this state, a court in which an appropriate\nproceeding under article seventy-eight of the Civil Practice Law and\nRules may be brought. As used in clause one of subdivision (a) of\nsection 15.1 of the compact, the phrase "court of competent\njurisdiction" shall mean with reference to courts of this state, any\ncourt in which an action or proceeding of the class brought by the\nSusquehanna river basin commission may be heard and determined.\n
