N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law § 27-1519

§ 27-1519. Pilot projects.\n The commissioner shall cooperate with the commissioner of health to\ndevelop pilot projects pursuant to subdivision 3 of section 1389-dd of\nthe public health law to promote the safe handling, treatment and\ndisposal of medical waste generated in private residences. The\ncommissioner may exempt these pilot projects from the permitting\nrequirements of this article.\n
