N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law § 54-1513

§ 54-1513. Climate change mitigation easements.\n A municipality which develops, improves, restores or rehabilitates\nreal property that is not owned by the municipality pursuant to this\ntitle with funds made available pursuant to this title shall obtain a\nclimate change mitigation easement from the owner of the real property.\nClimate change mitigation easements shall be enforced as conservation\neasements are enforced in section 49-0305 of this chapter.\n
