N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law § 71-2307

§ 71-2307. Abatement of pollution.\n Where any freshwater wetlands have been damaged or endangered by\npollution or are subject to pollution, the commissioner shall take all\nappropriate action to abate the pollution. The commissioner may restrict\nor order cessation of solid waste disposal, deep well disposal, or\nliquid waste disposal where such is polluting a given freshwater\nwetland.\n
