Executive department

§ 30. Executive department. There shall continue to be in the state\ngovernment an executive department. The head of the executive department\nshall be the governor. The governor may appoint such subordinates and\nemployees as may be necessary for the exercise of his powers and the\nperformance of his duties as head of the executive department, and may\nprescribe their duties and fix their compensation within the amounts\nappropriated therefor.\n
