N.Y. Exec. Law § 742

§ 742. Organization of the board. The governor shall designate a\nmember of the board as chairman thereof to serve as such during the\npleasure of the governor. The board may designate other officers and may\nchoose from their number an executive committee with such functions as\nshall be prescribed by the board.\n
