N.Y. General City Law § 55

§ 55. Violations, how punished. Any person violating any of the\nprovisions of this article, or any rules or regulations of the board of\nhealth or of the examining board of plumbers in any city regulating the\nplumbing and drainage of buildings in such city, shall be guilty of a\nmisdemeanor, and on conviction, if a master plumber, shall in addition,\nforfeit any certificate of competency or registration, which he may hold\nunder the provisions thereof.\n
