§ 209-r. Police protection. Notwithstanding any local or special law\nor charter provision, a city, town or village shall, irrespective of the\nboundaries of a privately owned housing development, provide for any\nstreets and pathways open to the public within such development, police\nprotection services of the same character and to the same extent as\nthose provided generally in the community.\n
