N.Y. High. Law § 349

§ 349. Application of chapter. All the provisions of this chapter\nrelating to state highways and not inconsistent with the provisions of\nthis article shall apply to the construction or improvement and the\ncontrol and maintenance of state thruways in the same manner as though\nthey were designated as state highways.\n
