§ 2401. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to regulate trade\npractices in the business of insurance, including the business of life\nsettlements, in accordance with the intent of congress as expressed in\nPublic Law 15, 79th Congress, by defining, or providing for the\ndetermination of, all such practices in this state that constitute\nunfair methods of competition or unfair or deceptive acts or practices\nand by prohibiting the trade practices so defined or determined.\n
