§ 405. Sheriff need not attend or designate officers to attend terms\nof courts in Erie county unless requested. The sheriff of the county of\nErie shall not be required to attend or designate any officer to attend\nat justices' chambers or at special terms of the supreme court, or at\nany term of the county court and surrogate's court held in said county\nof Erie unless requested so to do by the justice, judge or surrogate\npresiding thereat.\n
