§ 526. Presentation of claims by jurors and disposition of unclaimed\nfees. All jurors who have served in a court of the unified court system\npursuant to a duly issued summons as provided for in this article and\nare entitled to an allowance therefor must present their claims to the\nproper official designated by law for the payment of juror's fees on or\nbefore the thirty-first of December of the year next succeeding or\nfollowing the year in which such services were rendered and performed.\nFailure to comply with this section shall be a forfeiture of the payment\nfor such claims or services. All summonses or notices issued pursuant to\nthis article requiring jurors to attend at a term of court or at a\nsession of the grand jury shall have imprinted thereon the foregoing\nprovision relating to forfeiture of fees. All moneys or jurors' fees\nforfeited by the provisions of this section shall be transferred to the\nstate comptroller and applied to the fund from which they were paid on\nor before the first day of April, in each year.\n
