§ 21-c. Power of commissioner to enter into agreements relating to\ncertain federal acts. The commissioner is hereby authorized and\nempowered to take such steps, not inconsistent with law, as may be\nnecessary or desirable for the purpose of procuring for the people of\nthis state all of the benefits and assistance, financial or otherwise in\nconnection with or provided or to be provided for by or pursuant to, the\nfederal farm labor contractor registration act of nineteen hundred\nsixty-three, the federal economic opportunity act of nineteen hundred\nsixty-four, as amended, the federal fair labor standards act of nineteen\nhundred thirty-eight, as amended, and the occupational safety provisions\nof any federal act. The commissioner may enter into agreements with\nappropriate agencies of the United States, and with any political\nsubdivision of the state, as may be necessary or required to receive\nsuch benefits and assistance. The commissioner is further authorized to\nreceive and disburse such funds from the United States or any agency\nthereof, or from any political subdivision of the state, in accordance\nwith the terms of any such agreement. The commissioner shall cooperate\nwith other departments, divisions, agencies, and political subdivisions\nof the state in connection with any such agreement.\n
