N.Y. Local Finance Law § 181.00

§ 181.00 Separability. If any clause, sentence, subdivision,\nparagraph, section or part of this chapter be adjudged by any court of\ncompetent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect,\nimpair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its\noperation to the clause, sentence, subdivision, paragraph, section or\npart thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment\nshall have been rendered.\n
