§ 248. Discharge of liens. When a certificate of discharge of any such\nsurety bond lien, issued by the proper officer, is presented for filing\nin the office of the recording officer where the notice of lien is\nfiled, such officer shall permanently attach the certificate of\ndischarge to the notice of lien; and shall enter the certificate of\ndischarge, with the date, in the state criminal surety bond lien index\nor card index system on the line where the notice of lien is entered. In\naddition, any such surety bond lien shall be discharged as a lien\nagainst the premises set forth therein after the lapse of ten years from\nthe filing thereof provided however that such surety bond lien shall,\nupon the order of a court of competent jurisdiction, be extended beyond\na period of ten years from the date of filing.\n
