§ 25. Propositions for the submission of local laws. A proposition for\nthe submission of a local law to the approval of the electors pursuant\nto this chapter shall contain the title of such local law. The clerk,\nwith the advice of the corporation counsel, municipal attorney or other\nprincipal law officer shall prepare an abstract of such local law\nconcisely stating the title, purpose and effect thereof, and forthwith\nshall transmit such proposition and such abstract to the election\nofficers charged with the duty of publishing the notice of and\nfurnishing the supplies for such election. A sufficient number of copies\nof such abstract shall be printed and made available at the time of\nregistration or otherwise in advance of the election to such electors as\ndesire them, and shall also be delivered with the other election\nsupplies and distributed to the electors at the election. If there be\nmore than one such proposition to be voted upon at such election, such\npropositions shall be separately and consecutively numbered.\n
