§ 9.29 Involuntary admission on medical certification; notice of\n admission to patients and others.\n (a) The director shall cause written notice of a person's involuntary\nadmission on an application supported by medical certification to be\ngiven forthwith to the mental hygiene legal service.\n (b) The director shall cause written notice of the admission of such\nperson, including such person's rights under this article, to be given\npersonally or by mail not later than five days, excluding Sunday and\nholidays, after such admission to the following:\n 1. the nearest relative of the person alleged to be mentally ill,\nother than the applicant, if there be any such person known to the\ndirector.\n 2. as many as three additional persons, if designated in writing to\nreceive such notice by the person so admitted.\n
