§ 1356. Investigations. The authority, and any member thereof, when\ndirected by the authority, may make any investigation which the\nauthority may deem necessary to enable it effectually to carry out the\nprovisions of this act, and for that purpose the authority, or such\nmember, may take and hear proofs and testimony and compel the attendance\nof witnesses and the production of books, papers, records and documents,\nincluding public records. The authority, and its authorized agents, may\nenter upon any lands as in its judgment may be necessary for the purpose\nof making surveys and examinations to accomplish any purpose authorized\nby this act, the authority being liable for actual damage done.\n
