* § 1470-m. Tax exemptions. 1. It is hereby determined that the\ncreation of the authority and the carrying out of its corporate purposes\nis in all respects for the benefit of the people of the city of Rome and\nits environs, and is a public purpose, and the authority shall be\nregarded as performing a governmental function in the exercise of the\npowers conferred upon it by this title and shall be required to pay no\ntaxes or assessments upon any of the property acquired by it or under\nits jurisdiction, control or supervision or upon its activities.\n 2. Any bonds or notes issued pursuant to this title, together with the\nincome therefrom, as well as the property of the authority, shall be\nexempt from taxation, except for transfer and estate taxes.\n * NB City of Rome Parking Authority ceased to exist 12/31/2000 per §\n1470-b, and thereafter until all liabilities have been met/discharged,\nand all bonds paid/discharged\n
