* § 1551. Construction contracts. The authority shall let contracts\nfor construction in the same manner, so far as practicable, as is\nprovided by law for contracts of the village, except that where the\nestimated expense of a contract does not exceed five hundred dollars,\nsuch contract may be entered into without public letting.
