* § 1599-ggg. Construction contracts. The authority shall let\ncontracts for construction in the same manner, so far as practicable, as\nis provided by law for contracts of the city except that where the\nestimated expense of a contract does not exceed five thousand dollars,\nsuch contract may be entered into without public letting.
